CAIRO, April 19 (MENA) - Egypt's Grand Mufti Nazir Ayyad greeted Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark and all Christian sects on the occasion of celebrating Easter.

In a statement on Saturday, the mufti voiced heartfelt congratulations to the Pope and all Coptic citizens, along with his best wishes that God Almighty would grant Pope Tawadros II good health and success.

He also wished Egypt would enjoy further progress and prosperity.

He hoped that the bonds of love and peace would be furthered among all citizens so that Egypt would continue to enjoy security, safety and stability. (MENA)
