CAIRO, April 14 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Monday held a meeting with members of the Political Affairs Committee at the cabinet's premises in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
Spokesman for the Cabinet Mohamed El Homsani said the meeting discussed a number of regional and international issues, as well as proposed scenarios for the next phase.
The spokesman added that the committee members presented an analysis of the current US administration's policy and its impact on the political and economic landscape at the regional and international levels, as well as its implications for the Egyptian economy.
The meeting took up the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and Egypt's efforts to reach a new ceasefire deal in the war-hit Palestinian enclave.
It also touched on the US-Iranian negotiations and current conditions in war-torn Sudan.
The premier and the committee members reviewed ongoing preparations for holding the upcoming parliamentary elections and the political climate in the country. (MENA)
