CAIRO, April 13 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Sunday said that the government is working on developing scenarios to deal with the mounting regional and international economic challenges and their ramifications on the state, in order to maintain achievements realized recently as well as economic stability.

Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting with members of the consultative macroeconomic committee to discuss a number of key topics and files.

"We are keen to listen to all visions and ideas with the aim of confronting various challenges through scenarios outlined by experts," Madbouli said.

"The economic ministerial group, and the governmental ad-hoc committees, are assigned to draw up scenarios aimed at addressing all challenges and exploring opportunities that can be utilized."

Participants at the meeting emphasized the necessity of confronting economic challenges facing the state and taking a set of measures in this regard, said Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el Homosani.

The meeting addressed repercussions of imposing the US tariffs and proposed solutions, the spokesman added.

Attracting foreign investments and adopting measures to secure food supply chains amid external shocks and price fluctuations are among proposals discussed by the committee members to address economic challenges, according to the spokesman. (MENA)
