NEW ALAMEIN, Egypt, April 12 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Saturday said that New Alamein city is a fourth generation city of special importance for the state and represents the coastal capital of Egypt and the core of the development plan of the Western North Coast.
The city is witnessing the implementation of several mega projects, including the housing, commercial, services, administrative, tourist and cultural ones, Madbouli added.
The premier made the remarks during a meeting with state officials at the beginning of an inspection tour of a number of projects in New Alamein City on Saturday.
The meeting, which was attended by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherief el Sherbiny, reviewed the implementation rate of development projects in New Alamein city and the Western North Coast.
During the meeting, Madbouli issued directives to remove all obstacles and provide all facilitation to finalize projects according to their timetable, in line with instructions of the political leadership to accelerate the implementation and delivery of development projects in New Aalamein city.
Madbouli was briefed on progress achieved in the construction of all the housing projects, dates of handing over the units, operation plan of all service projects and the sales rate of shops and commercial units there.
The housing minister highlighted the implementation rate of the housing projects of phase 1 and 2 in New Alamein city, saying that the trial run of services projects was carried out successfully, including two mosque, a church, primary school, nursery, playground, real estate registry and Alamein National University.
Meanwhile, Madbouli was briefed on the implementation rate of projects carried out by the Tourist Villages Authority as well as housing projects, including the Marina 8 (M8) project, the M8 By The Lake project, and the New Marina Lakes Canal project. (MENA)
