ASSIUT, Upper Egypt, April 10 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inspected on Thursday the central lab for drinking water during his visit to the water station in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Assiut, which is now under development.

Madbouli listened to a presentation by Chemist Islam Mohamed Hassanein, head of the labs and water quality sector at the Water and Sanitation Company, on the laboratory which is being implemented as part of the Integrated Water Solutions Technical Support Project (IWSSTA), which aims to automate and develop asset management as part of the company's plans to improve operational efficiency and preserve investments.

The lab covers an area of ​​1,200 square meters.

He said the laboratory is supplied with the latest-of-the-art equipment to serve the governorates of Assiut and the New Valley.

It can also receive samples from Upper Egypt governorates as well, he added. (MENA)
