CAIRO, April 9 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised Wednesday the important state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt that reflected the strategic nature of Egyptian-French relations especially after upgrade of relations between the two countries which see eye- to-eye on issues of common interest.
During the foreign minister's meeting Wednesday with French Minister of State François-Noël Bouvet - on the sidelines of the Khartoum Process Ministerial Conference that kicked of at the New administrative Capital earlier in the day - Abdelatty accentuated the importance of building on the momentum generated by the visit to advance bilateral relations in the various fields toward border horizons and to continue working closely to develop and deepen bilateral strategic partnership.
He congratulated the French official on his country's assumption of the rotating presidency of the Khartoum Process stressing his country's commitment to supporting the French presidency and building on the achievements made during Egypt's presidency.
Abdelatty also voiced his aspiration to continue highlighting cooperation between the two countries in the field of migration. He said creating legal pathways for migration and legal movement of workers is one of the most important aspects of this process. (MENA)
