CAIRO, April 8 (MENA) - French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said his country has sent 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, noting that some of it is still blocked at the border.

"In Gaza, in total, 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid were sent by France. A part is still blocked at the border. This cannot continue," the French foreign minister said in a post on his official X account on Tuesday.

"In Egypt with the President of the Republic to reiterate that international humanitarian law is not an option," Barrot added as he accompanied French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to Egypt.

This comes after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the French leader paid a visit to Al Arish city as part of Macron's high-level official visit to Egypt. (MENA)
