CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - The leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan held a conference phone call on Monday with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of a trilateral summit in Cairo to tackle efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, ensure full humanitarian aid access, and facilitate the release of all hostages and detainees.
According to Egypt’s presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, the leaders emphasized the need for a comprehensive political framework to resolve the crisis.
They called for intensified international efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, restore stability, and advance the two-state solution, he said.
They also discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with the leaders stressing the need to achieve peace in accordance with international law, Shennawy further said.
All parties agreed to maintain close communication on these critical issues, he added. (MENA)
