CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised Monday the close cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of transportation.

This came during a visit by Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to Adly Mansour Central Interchange Station, where Sisi voiced appreciation of the role of various French companies in implementing transport projects in Egypt.

The two leaders inspected the station and viewed the equipment and services that will benefit millions of Egyptians.

They also toured the third line of the Cairo Metro, the spokesperson for the presidency said.

Egypt is committed to localizing transportation-related industries and increasing the percentage of local components in ongoing projects, the spokesperson also said, emphasizing the need to adhere to the specified timetables for their implementation.

Macron, for his part, expressed his admiration for the advanced level of Egypt's transportation sector.

He commended the modernization and development efforts undertaken in the infrastructure and transportation sectors, affirming France's keenness to participate in future development projects in Egypt. (MENA)
