Head of Pharma International, General Medicines Sanofi at Sanofi Christelle Saghbini hailed the long-standing Egypt-France partnership in healthcare as a distinguished model of international cooperation, delivering tangible benefits for patients in Egypt and beyond.
Speaking during a panel discussion at the Egyptian-French Business Forum, attended by Sisi and Macron, Saghbini said Egypt is serving as a strategic hub for the company in Africa, highlighting Sanofi’s commitment to Egypt Vision 2030 for sustainable development, particularly in the healthcare sector.
She emphasized the importance of local collaboration, noting that 73% of Sanofi’s products are manufactured locally in Egypt in partnership with local companies.
Saghbini also highlighted Sanofi’s ongoing cooperation with Egyptian health authorities, particularly in diabetes awareness campaigns and supporting the “100 Million Health” initiative, which aims to improve public health in Egypt.
CEO of Gypto Pharma Amr Mamdouh stressed that the strategic partnership between Gypto Pharma, the Egyptian Drug City and Sanofi represents a promising model of cooperation that contributes to shoring up local industry through drawing on international expertise.
Mamdouh highlighted that Gypto Pharma is a national project, reflecting the political leadership’s vision to localize pharmaceutical production in Egypt. (MORE)
