BENHA, Egypt, April 6 (MENA) - Iraqi Minister of Trade Atheer al-Gheriri reaffirmed the depth of fraternal and historical ties binding Egypt and Iraq.

During his visit Sunday to Benha University and his meeting with Dr. Nasser el-Gizawi, President of Benha University, the Iraqi minister asserted the Iraqi government's keenness on upping the volume of bilateral trade exchange at all levels.

Mustafa Hussein, the Iraqi Consul in Cairo, took part in the meeting.

For his part, the president of Benha University welcomed the Iraqi minister's visit to the university, especially that the Iraqi minister is a graduate of the university.

The university's president voiced happiness and appreciation for the Iraqi minister’s visit to Benha University, as he is one of the honorable role models for the students of the university, as he holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Commerce.

Gizawi stressed that Benha University is always proud of its graduates who have achieved distinction and success in their careers.

He pointed out that Benha University works to provide distinguished academic and educational services to its international students, noting that the number of Iraqi foreign students is the largest among the university’s foreign students.

It is noteworthy that Ghurairi obtained a Master’s degree in economics from the Faculty of Commerce at Benha University in 2017, entitled “An Analytical Study of the Trade Balance in Iraq.”
