CAIRO, April 6 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty Sunday emphasized the importance of maintaining the appearance of buildings of the embassies and consulates of Egypt abroad.
Abdelatty added that these edifices are considered Egyptian assets abroad that reflect the country's prestigious status before the whole world.
The foreign minister made the remarks during a meeting with the board members of the authority entitled to finance Foreign Ministry's buildings abroad to follow up on efforts meant preserve buildings affiliated to the ministry abroad.
During the meeting, Abdelatty underscored the importance of developing plans and programs aimed at renovating and maintaining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' buildings abroad.
He was briefed by the board members on progress achieved in the underway projects, including constructing and refurbishing a number of buildings of Egyptian missions abroad. (MENA)
