CAIRO, April 3 (MENA) - Egypt strongly condemned the recent Israeli raids on several sites in Syria in a new, flagrant violation of international law.

Such raids are considered a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty, stability and unity, according to a press release by the Foreign and Emigration Ministry on Thursday.

Egypt called on international active parties to take their responsibilities toward Israel's repeated violations and oblige Israel to end its occupation of the Syrian land and respect the disengagement agreement in 1974.

In a related development, Egypt also denounced the Israeli army's targeting of a UNRWA building in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, which had previously been used as a health center and had sustained extensive damage at the beginning of the attacks. Scores of Palestinians were killed and wounded in the assault.

Egypt condemned as well Israel's targeting of facilities and teams of UN agencies, organizations and medical facilities in a violation of international law and international humanitarian law, added the press release. (MENA)
