CAIRO, April 2 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty had a phone call on Wednesday with his newly appointed Djibouti counterpart Abdul Qadir Hussein Omar to congratulate him on his new post, wishing him success in his new mission.

The Foreign Minister highlighted the depth of the relations between Egypt and Djibouti, underlining the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, and social fields to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.

The two ministers exchanged views towards ways to enhance coordination between the two countries to support stability and development in the Horn of Africa region.

The two sides said they would continue close coordination on various issues of common interest within regional forums, most notably the League of Arab States and the African Union. (MENA)
