CAIRO, March 25 (MENA) - Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel-Mageed Saqr has participated in a Ramadan iftar banquet for a number of the Second Field Army personnel.

The banquet was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khalifa and military top brass.

During the iftar banquet, Saqr conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's greetings to the Second Field Army personnel, lauding their genuine efforts to safeguard the security of the homeland and preserve its sanctities.

Saqr also reviewed the latest developments in the region amid the current momentous and rapid changes and their impact on Egypt's national security.

He urged servicemen to exert utmost efforts in training to maintain high combat readiness, along with paying attention to the technical suitability and effectiveness of weapons and equipment, so that the Armed Forces will remain at the highest levels of readiness to perform all tasks assigned to them under any circumstances.

He also urged them to quash unfounded rumors aimed at harming the Egyptian State. (MENA)
