CAIRO, March 19 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has authorized the creation of an expert working group to shape a future vision for Egyptian media and drama, focused on promoting positive messages for society.
During a press conference following the weekly government meeting, Madbouli referenced President Sisi's remarks on concerns that recent portrayals in media do not accurately reflect Egyptian society, with some actions misrepresenting the true reality of the nation.
During the annual Iftar banquet hosted by the Armed Forces on Monday, President Sisi emphasized the importance of "incorporating authentic Egyptian values and morals into film and TV" while combating content that incites violence and crime or promotes verbal vulgarity and behavioral deviation.
Madbouli announced that the new group will include key media and drama stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Culture, the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, the National Media Authority, production companies, and experts in various fields, to develop a scientific vision for the future of Egyptian drama.
Madbouli stressed that the goal is not to limit creative freedom but to ensure drama reflects Egyptian society accurately, addresses social issues professionally, and promotes national values and Egypt's cultural identity. (MENA)
