CAIRO, March 19 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty asserted the privacy of Egyptian-Tanzanian relations and the ongoing development in these ties particularly in recent years.
The visit by President Samia Suluhu Hassan to Egypt in November, 2021 testifies to the development of Egyptian-Tanzanian relations.
Abdelatty's remarks came at a meeting with Tanzanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Doto Biteko on Wednesday.
He underscored the greater attention the Egyptian leadership is paying to finalize the implementation of Julius Nyerere Dam Project.
He commended the great potentials of the Egyptian consortium, consisting of the Arab Contractors and Elsewedy Electric, in carrying out this giant developmental project, which is about to be finalized very soon.
The foreign minister hailed the trade flow and investments in recent years between the two countries.
During the visit, Abdelatty was accompanied by a high-level delegation grouping businessmen from different sectors to explore possible chances for fostering trade exchange volume and investments between both nations.
He said the Egyptian government is keen on boosting the presence of its companies in the Tanzanian market, in addition to developing bilateral cooperation with Tanzania. (MENA)
