CAIRO, March 17 (MENA) - The National Council for Women (NCW) participated in a workshop aimed at developing skills of report recipients employees and staff at the Women's Complaints Office and the Child Helpline.

The workshop is organized by UNICEF Egypt with the aim of enhancing capacity of staff in dealing with cases of violence by raising awareness of its various types and related laws, as well as correcting stereotypes about its causes and its impact on women and children in the short and long term, according to a statement by the NCW Monday.

The workshop highlights how to understand victims' reactions to violence and trauma, in addition to clarifying the role of frontline workers and limits of their responsibilities in responding and offering services to various cases, it added.

During the workshop, participants will receive practical training on providing effective response, through interactive exercises and role-playing to simulate realistic scenarios that would contribute to improving the quality of services provided to affected women and children, the statement read.
