CAIRO, March 12 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s speech during the 41st educational seminar of the Armed Forces conveyed several important messages, all of which inspire reassurance, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Wednesday.

The speech reaffirmed Egypt’s ability to safeguard its national security amid regional and international challenges while maintaining its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. It also underscored Egypt’s continuous efforts as a key player in advancing security and peace in the region, he added during the Cabinet weekly meeting.

The premier highlighted the strong international backing for Egypt’s reconstruction and early recovery plan for the war-ravaged Gaza Strip, which was recently approved by the Arab Summit in Cairo.

He also referenced his meeting with President Sisi to discuss organizational arrangements for the upcoming grand inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum. He noted that proposed concepts, preparations for the event, planned activities, and the promotional strategy were presented to the President.

Madbouli stated that the President had directed the formation of a high-level committee to oversee all aspects of the event, emphasizing the need to uphold the highest logistical standards and intensify efforts to ensure the occasion reflects Egypt’s historical and cultural prominence.

Describing the inauguration as a significant opportunity to showcase the country’s achievements, particularly in development projects implemented in recent years, he stressed the importance of enhancing traffic routes and surrounding streets near the Grand Egyptian Museum, through paving, lighting, cleanliness, and landscaping efforts.

The prime minister also highlighted two key positive developments this week. First, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported a decline in Egypt’s inflation rate in its latest monthly report. Second, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the fourth review of Egypt’s economic program following successful negotiations.

He noted that the IMF’s approval reinforces confidence in the Egyptian economy and affirms the government’s commitment to its national economic reform agenda.

“This also demonstrates Egypt’s ability to achieve economic recovery, financial sustainability, strong and sustained economic activity, and a tangible and continuous improvement in citizens’ living standards,” Madbouli concluded. (MENA)
