CAIRO, March 11 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has underscored the need to put the presidential directives into effect to defend Egypt's security and its national interests.

The minister's remarks came during a meeting held Tuesday with his assistants to follow up on the progress of the Foreign Ministry's plans on different issues.

These directives need to be enforced amid the current critical situations in the Middle East region, he said, stressing that the different departments of the ministry should coordinate to implement the prioritized foreign policies.

He also reaffirmed the necessity to back national efforts to achieve economic development and increase trade exchange and investments abroad under the economic reform program.

Abdelatty also discussed ways to support Egyptian expats and different regional crises, particularly the Palestinian cause. (MENA)
