CAIRO, March 10 (MENA) - The Executive Director of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) ambassador Ezzat Saad praised China's support to the Egyptian-Arab plan to restore peace in the Gaza Strip.

In exclusive statements Monday to Chinese Channel CGTN the ECFA's executive director general said, Beijing's support for the Gaza reconstruction and recovery plan is expected from the friendly country of China.

Saad said it is extremely important that Beijing; the largest trade and economic partner to Arab countries, to announce support for this plan.

He underlined the importance of encouraging all Palestinian factions to agree on a single national agenda at the critical stage the Palestinian cause is going through.

Last Friday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed that China supports the plan to restore peace in Gaza initiated by Egypt and other Arab countries.

"We will continue to strive resolutely for justice, peace and development for the Middle East people," Wang said. (MENA)
