CAIRO, March 7 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday conducted an inspection tour of the Egyptian Military Academy.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said the president reviewed the academy's cadet lineup, observed their training and educational activities, and performed Friday prayers with the students, extending his congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Shennawy added that President Sisi was keen to listen to the cadets to ensure the smooth progress of their training during Ramadan.
He also reviewed regional and international developments, including the outcomes of the recent Extraordinary Arab Summit hosted by Cairo.
The president highlighted Egypt's efforts to restore calm and stability in the region, particularly in Gaza, as well as the Arab plan for the reconstruction of the strip, reaffirming that peace is Egypt and the Arab nations' strategic choice.
Furthermore, Sisi expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian people for their unity and steadfast support of the political leadership, particularly amid the current exceptional circumstances and regional challenges.
He emphasized that this solidarity reflects the strength and resilience of Egypt’s internal front, as well as the responsibility and sound judgment of the Egyptian people.
The president also underscored the vital role of the Egyptian Armed Forces in protecting the homeland. (MENA)
