AMMAN, March 5 (MENA) - Jordanian political experts and analysts said the outcome of the Arab Summit held in the New Administrative Capital on Tuesday affirmed firm stand of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II in support of Gaza reconstruction without any displacement of the Palestinians and their right to establish an independent state, with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
The summit adopted a plan, devised by Egypt in cooperation with Palestine for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, as following its approval by the summit, it became an Arab plan fully supported by all Arab countries, societies and nations.
In statements to MENA Wednesday, Jordanian experts said, the Arab Summit sided with the loud voice of reason, peace, security and stability that rose by the leaderships of Egypt and Jordan after the outbreak of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, rejecting the Palestinians' displacement and stressing the pressing necessity of rebuilding Gaza.
They underlined that Arab and international support for Egypt's reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip constitutes a clear-cut victory for humanity and the impregnable position taken by Egypt and Jordan.
Linda al-Karaki, member of the Arab Voluntary Union, said that the extraordinary Arab Summit comes at a critical moment to confront schemes aimed at forcing the Palestinians to leave their homes.
The summit affirmed Arab and international support for Egypt's Gaza construction plan and its role, under President Sisi, in defending the Palestinian people's rights via proposing a comprehensive plan for the Gaza reconstruction, guaranteeing a decent life for Palestinians without displacement, Karaki said.
She further stressed that the Cairo-hosted Arab summit was not just a diplomatic meeting, but a powerful Arab message that the Palestinian issue remains on the top of Arab countries' priorities, especially for the Egyptian and Jordanian leaderships, governments and peoples.
It also showed the Arab leaders' unswerving support for the Egyptian and Jordanian position and the increasing awareness that the only way to achieve security and stability in the region is through ending the occupation and recognizing the Palestinian people's rights, she added.
For his part, Khaled al-Qudah, member of the Jordanian Press Association (JPA), said the Arab Summit crowned efforts made by Egypt and Jordan throughout the past 75 years, during which the two countries called for an end to the Israeli occupation and the establishment of the state of Palestine, with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
Jordanian Researcher and political analyst Mohammad Bazbaz al-Hiyari said the Egyptian Gaza reconstruction plan is an integrated plan that serves Gaza and its people in the short, medium and long term.
He considered the plan "positive and realistic" compared to the "unsound and unrealistic" plans and proposals presented by the Israeli and US sides. (MENA)
