CAIRO, March 3 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised Monday the progress in Egyptian-Tunisian relations over the past years.
This came during a meeting he had with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of achieving maximum benefit from the existing cooperation frameworks between the two countries, and maintaining the regularity of the convening of joint bilateral committees.
The two ministers discussed developments of the Palestinian issue, stressing rejection of any acts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, as well as the necessity of seeking to reach a permanent and just political solution to the Palestinian issue by establishing an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders.
Egypt supports the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, said Abdelatty.
The two sides also discussed efforts to rebuild Gaza and arrangements for the emergency Arab summit set to be hosted by Cairo Tuesday. (MENA)
