CAIRO, Feb 27 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reiterated on Thursday Egypt's full backing to Lebanon and keenness on offering all forms of support to the Lebanese government and national institutions.

The top diplomat made the remarks during a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

Abdelatty conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's congratulations to Salam after his government gained the confidence of the Lebanese parliament.

Salam's government won the backing of 95 lawmakers in the 128-seat chamber.

Abdelatty said Egypt highly appreciates the move which is considered an important step on the road of materializing aspirations of brotherly Lebanese.

He expressed hope of enhancing cooperation with the Lebanese government within the coming stage in a way that helps restore Lebanon's security and stability.

Salam expressed appreciation for Sisi's support of Lebanon at all levels and his keenness on standing by all efforts aiming at preserving the country's stability and security. (MENA)
