NEW YORK, The United Nations (UN) Security Council holds briefings and consultations on the situation in Sudan. An official from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) will hold a briefing in the open room, while the Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for Sudan Ramtane Lamamra will brief in the consultations. The Council will also hold a briefing during closed consultations on the work of the UN Security Council Sanctions Committee on North Korea.
