Pointing to his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas earlier this week, Madbouli said many technical and engineering studies proposed by several international bodies, atop of which is the World Bank, have been submitted for Gaza reconstruction phases.

These studies are being used for developing a fully integrated reconstruction plan, Madbouli noted, citing also his recent meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who expressed his appreciation and respect for Egypt's position in support of the Palestinian cause at political and humanitarian levels.

As for Egypt's efforts to provide necessary medical care for wounded Palestinian brethren from Gaza, Madbouli said he had been following on the growing number of injury cases on a daily basis.

"Egypt has always fulfilled this role, and will continue to do so without delay," the premier said, noting that a new aid convoy organized by Tahya Misr Fund had been launched this week to support Palestinian brethren in Gaza.

Touching on Egypt's diplomatic efforts for the Palestinian issue, Madbouli stressed the importance of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's meeting with President of the World Jewish Congress, Mr. Ronald S. Lauder in Cairo early this week.

He said President Sisi laid an emphasis on many points during the meeting, especially the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital, a firm position adopted by the Arab and and Muslim world, as well as the international community in general.

Cairo also hosted the 4th meeting of the the Global Alliance for Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which was attended by the Commissioner-General of UNRWA and UN humanitarian and reconstruction coordinators, Madbouli said, noting an Arab mini-summit will be held soon to discuss preparations for an emergency Arab summit scheduled for March 4.
