CAIRO, Feb 11 (MENA) - Assistant Foreign Minister for US Affairs Ambassador Sameh Aboul Enein and Citigroup's Head of Global Government Affairs Candida P. Wolff reviewed on Tuesday Egyptian-US cooperation frameworks and encouraging American investments in Egypt to strengthen investment and trade ties between the two countries.
The two sides met during Wolff's current visit to Cairo as part of a regional tour that also includes the UAE and Turkey. Wolff is part of a delegation that included the managing director and executive general manager for Citibank Egypt, and head of government affairs for the Middle East and Africa.
Asserting the Citigroup's interest in the Egyptian market, the US official discussed ways to inject more investments by major US Citigroup members, especially in the energy, ICT, automotive, and tourism industries.
The meeting also tackled preparations for an Egyptian-US economic investment forum to be held later this year.
