CAIRO, Feb 5 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli attended on Wednesday the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the government and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to boost national efforts aimed at expanding the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and future collaboration.

The memorandum was co-signed by Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el Mashat and Governor of Egypt at EBRD and the Regional Director of EBRD for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region Mark Davis.

The premier affirmed the MoU aims to outline the public frame for technical support offered by the bank to the government as well as institutional support along with building capabilities of all related parties to carry out different PPP's projects.

Mashat said her ministry has been acting since 2020 to promote the economic diplomacy approach and stimulate partnership with international institutions and multilateral development banks to boost the state's developmental priorities and expand the PPP in order to bridge development gaps.

The minister added that Egypt will play host to the 2027 Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. (MENA)
