CAIRO, Jan 30 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said on Thursday Egyptian efforts are going on to iron out any hurdle and cement the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in a bid end the sufferings of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Abdelatty made the remarks during the annual conference of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs.
Abdelatty spoke about the size of the unprecedented challenges sweeping the region at the present stage, especially those facing the Palestinian issue, expounding Egyptian efforts to re-arrange the post-war situation in the Gaza Strip and cement ceasefire in an attempt to allow hundreds of displaced Palestinians to return home.
He underlined the importance that the international community shoulder responsibility towards the reconstruction of Gaza.
He also referred to the irreplaceable role of the UNRWA in the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza stages. (MENA)
