CAIRO, Jan 29 (MENA) – Egypt and Kenya have officially upgraded their bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, marking a new era of cooperation in economic, political, and security affairs.

The announcement came during the official visit of Kenyan President William Ruto to Cairo from Jan 29 to 31 at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The two leaders held high-level discussions, reaffirming their commitment to regional stability, economic growth, and mutual development.

As part of this new strategic partnership, Egypt and Kenya signed 12 key cooperation agreements in various sectors, including political consultations, investment facilitation, port management, youth development, space technology, ICT, higher education, gender equality, and urban development.
