CAIRO, Jan 28 (MENA) - A well-placed source denied Tuesday reports circulated by media outlets on the holding of a phone call between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and US President Donald Trump.

AlQahera news channel quoted the source as refuting as "baseless" these media reports, noting that any telephone calls made by the president are publicly announced in accordance with the standard procedures followed for communications with heads of state.

The source urged media outlets to verify the authenticity of any news reports, particularly with regard to official communications at such a level and at this critical time in the Middle East region. (MENA)
