CAIRO, Jan 26 (MENA) - Egypt’s First Lady Intisar El Sisi greeted the Egyptian people on the occasion of the Night of Al Isra’ and Al Mi’raj.

In a post on her official social media account, Mrs. Sisi said: "On the occasion of the Night of Al Isra’ and Al Mi’raj, I offer my sincerest greetings to our honorable people and the Islamic world. I hope that this great occasion will be an opportunity for reflection, contemplation and drawing closer to Allah, and that goodness and peace will prevail for all."

The Night of Al Isra’ and Al Mi’raj commemorates the Prophet Muhammad's journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascent into heaven. It is observed on the 27th day of Rajab, the 7th month of the Islamic calendar.
