CAIRO, Jan 22 (MENA} - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed on Wednesday his keenness on the success of the Gaza ceasefire to stem the bloodshed of Palestinians.

During a ceremony to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Police Day, the president said that Egypt will remain a staunch supporter of the ceasefire to resume services to the enclave, prevent forced displacement and protect the Palestinian cause.

He said that Egypt, with its historical responsibility, regional status and international commitments, will continue efforts of achieving peace in the region.

The president added that millions of foreign nationals live in Egypt in peace and security and receive the same services offered to Egyptians, thanks to efforts exerted by its Armed Forces and Police. (MENA
