CAIRO, Jan 20 (MENA) - Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran announced that Saturday, January 25 would be an official paid holiday for private sector workers on the occasion of the January 25 Revolution's anniversary and Police Day.

In a statement released on Monday, the minister said if a worker is required to work on this national holiday, then he must be paid double his wage, in addition to his wage for that day as compensation in line with article 52 of Labor Law.

The minister greeted Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq and the Egyptian people on this occasion.

He wished Egypt more progress and prosperity under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. (MENA)
