CAIRO, Jan 17 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received on Friday a phone call from Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to discuss the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages and prisoners.
During the phone call, Abdelatty posted Tajani on efforts made by Egypt, in coordination with Qatar and the United States, to clinch the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and ensure the exchange of hostages for prisoners.
Abdelatty also stressed the necessity of implementing the terms of the agreement, including all its stages as per the specified dates.
He also underlining the importance of mobilizing international efforts to reconstruct Gaza and rehabilitate the infrastructure there to restore conditions to normal.
For his part, the Italian foreign minister lauded Egypt's crucial role and its genuine efforts to reach the ceasefire deal in Gaza. (MENA)
