CAIRO, Jan 15 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty Wednesday asserted Egypt's commitment to making every possible effort to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Sudan.
This came during a meeting held by the top diplomat Wednesday with Vice President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council Malik Agar, according to an official press statement.
The minister, who is currently visiting Port Sudan, referred to the historical relations binding the two countries and their brotherly peoples, emphasizing Egypt's support for Sudanese institutions and the country's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
He noted the facilities provided by Egypt to Sudanese citizens to ease their stay in Egypt until they can return safely to their homeland, the latest of which was holding high school exams for children of the Sudanese community in Egypt, upon directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to help them complete their educational journey.(MENA)
