CAIRO, Jan 14 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone call Tuesday with Chad's President Idriss Déby.
During the conversation, President Sisi affirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the security and stability of Chad, said Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shennawy.
President Sisi expressed Egypt’s condemnation of a recent terrorist attack on the presidential palace in the capital, N'Djamena, the spokesman added.
He further lauded the crucial role played by Déby in leading efforts aiming at eliminating terrorist groups.
President Sisi also congratulated Chad's president on holding legislative elections and securing a significant majority.
For his part, the president of Chad appreciated Egypt's continued support to the security and stability of his country.
He lauded the close ties binding Egypt and Chad, affirming keenness on promoting cooperation with Egypt in various spheres. (MENA)
