Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis hailed Egypt's good offices to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, deliver humanitarian aid to the Gazans, release hostages and detainees and achieve the two-state solution to maintain security and stability in the region.

He said the talks also dealt with Libya's developments, calling for resuming the Libyan national dialogue and respecting the sovereignty of the country and the withdrawal of foreign troops from it.

Mitsotakis said the three countries coordinate measures to combat illegal migration and protect the life of illegal migrants, extending thanks to President Sisi for his efforts to secure Egypt's maritime borders.

He added the three countries back legal migration and highlighted agreements signed with Egypt in the fields of employment and laborers' exchange.

The Greek prime minister said Egypt, Greece and Cyprus stress the importance of freedom of navigation, adding that his country, as an elected member of the UN Security Council, supports the security and safety of navigation across the Suez Canal. (MENA)
