NEW ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL, Jan 6 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived Monday at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) to offer his greetings to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese and the Coptic Christians on the occasion of Eastern Christmas.

The president was received at an entrance leading to the church by the pontiff and a number of bishops participating in the prayers. He was warmly welcomed by worshippers who raised Egyptian flags and greeted him with flowers.

The president shook hands with a number of the participants in the prayers.

Pope Tawadros II led the Christmas mass that was attended by senior state officials, governors, MPs, and diplomats. (MENA)
