President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated his Indonesian counterpart, wishing him success to attain the aspirations of the Indonesian people.

The president said the talks tackled the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the fields of trade and industry, noting that it was agreed that there will be an Egyptian-Indonesian logistic zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone in partnerships between governmental and private sector companies between the two countries.

He expounded, for example, that Egypt imports palm oil at dlrs 1 billion from Indonesia, while the Asian state imports from Egypt phosphate fertilizers and other things.

He added that there will be a great chance for bolstering cooperation in light of the political will of both countries.

President Sisi noted that the talks highlighted the importance of coordinating stands vis-a-vis issues of mutual concern at the regional and international levels.

He added that the talks focused on the developments in the region and the importance of containing the escalation in the region.

President Sisi said the talks tackled the situation in Syria and the importance of conducting a comprehensive political process with the participation of all powers in Egypt. (MORE)
