CAIRO, Dec 15 (MENA) – German Ambassador to Cairo Jürgen Schulz said his country is now implementing over 80 development projects in Egypt with a total investment of EGP 60 billion.
Speaking at the inaugural Egyptian-German Development Day, Schulz reaffirmed Germany's commitment to Egypt’s Vision 2030 and its progress toward sustainable development.
The ambassador also emphasized cooperation in green energy, technical education, climate resilience, water management, poverty reduction, and green technology.
He highlighted Egypt’s goal to generate 42% of its energy from green sources by 2030 and called for private sector investment to drive this transition.
Germany has also supported Egypt by providing advanced electricity grid technologies at significantly reduced costs.
The event underscored the "Partnerships for a Just Transition" initiative, focusing on social justice and economic resilience in the shift toward a green economy. (MENA)
