CAIRO, Dec 11 (MENA) - Egypt strongly condemned on Wednesday the systematic Israeli targeting of military infrastructure in Syria and its deliberate bombing of military sites, bases, weapons and equipment across the country.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry also condemned Israeli expansion of its illegal presence in the Syrian territories.

It renewed full rejection of Israeli attempts to take advantage of Syria's preoccupation of its internal affairs to undermine the capabilities of the Syrian state and occupy more lands.

It considered Israeli attacks on Syria a continuation of systematic violations of the international law, warning of the grave consequences of irresponsible Israeli practices.

It urged the Security Council, the international community and effective powers to shoulder their responsibilities to end the serious Israeli escalation in Syria and to get Israel respect the sovereignty and integrity of Syrian territories. (MENA)
