CAIRO, Dec 10 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's steadfast position on Syria's ongoing crisis during a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The two ministers discussed the importance of a Syrian-led political solution free from external interference, aimed at preserving the nation’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The conversation dealt with shared concerns over the deteriorating situation in Syria and the need for concerted regional and international efforts to restore stability. Both officials underscored the importance of ensuring Syria's political process is comprehensive and inclusive, reflecting the country's diverse social fabric while preventing the exclusion of any national groups.
Abdelatty emphasized that a well-rounded, inclusive approach is crucial to addressing Syria's challenges and fostering long-term stability. He also pointed out that such efforts would enable Syria to regain its role in the regional and global landscape.
The ministers agreed to sustain close coordination strategies on Syria and the broader Middle East.
