CAIRO, Dec 2 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty said Monday Egypt spares no effort to help Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to face catastrophic humanitarian conditions, appreciating the humanitarian aid provided by Singapore since the outbreak of the crisis.

This came during a meeting held by the minister today with Mohamad Maliki Osman, Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs in Singapore, and head of his country's delegation to the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Gaza.

Abdelatty praised the relations between Egypt and Singapore, expressing his aspiration to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the launch of diplomatic relations between them in 2026, and to push various areas of bilateral cooperation to broader horizons.

He pointed out that Singapore is among the largest Asian countries that have investments in Egypt, stressing the Egyptian side's keenness to enhance these investments and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

Abdelatty said Egypt welcomed joint cooperation in the cultural field and provided Egyptian expertise to Singaporean students studying at Al Azhar University to support efforts to spread the moderate approach of Islam in Singapore.

In connection with regional situations, Abdelatty highlighted the Egyptian efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. (MENA)
