Abdelatty said Wednesday the talks between Egypt and Qatar agreed that key to achieving security and stability in the region is the establishment of the Palestinian state on the Palestinian territories.
The talks also covered the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, he said, adding that he wished the agreement would be fully fulfilled.
“We back the Lebanese state as well as empowering their institutions and we also support the deployment of the Lebanese army in southern Litani River. The election of a Lebanese president should be done free of any foreign dictation,” said Abdelatty.
He thanked the Qatari counterpart on his visit to Egypt and his keenness on maintaining coordination and consultation in a way that reflects relations between the two Arab countries. (MENA)
