CAIRO, Nov 27 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani co-chaired Wednesday an expanded meeting on boosting bilateral cooperation in the various domains.

Madbouli said the visit of the Qatari premier comes within the framework of the two states’ keenness to hold intensive talks and coordinate on different regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Madbouli cited the meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Qatari top official as very fruitful, as the two sides asserted their interest in boosting bilateral relations in the various domains.

The premier quoted a real estate project in the north coast as one of the mega investment projects.

Madbouli said Qatari construction companies have proven great efficiency during their implementation of projects that took place during the period of Qatar hosting the World Cup and have great experiment in the field of real estate development, which is an important opportunity to establish partnerships with them in this sector.

The Qatari construction companies would invest in the North Coast or in other regions, and would start joint business with Egyptian construction companies currently working in the African market in many projects.

Madbouli cited several investment opportunities sought by the Qatari side in the tourism domain, reiterating the Egyptian welcome of the Qatari businesspeople in Greater Cairo, the New Administrative Capital.

Madbouly expressed Egypt's keenness to maintain the Egyptian-Qatari Investment Forum, the first session of which was held in Cairo in November 2023, in order to enhance communication between representatives of the business sector and the private sector in the two countries, expressing his aspiration to hold a new session of the forum during the first quarter of 2025.

For his part, the Qatari premier said his country had a real desire to enhance the prospects for investment cooperation with Egypt in various fields in a way that contributes to achieving common interests.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani reviewed possible cooperation opportunities with Egypt to enhance humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Madbouli said Egypt believed cooperation in Gaza Strip humanitarian aid is very important domain for Egypt, noting that he looked forward to an end for the ongoing war, citing cooperation with Qatar in the reconstruction of Gaza in post war time. (MENA)
