CAIRO, Nov 27 (MENA) - President Abdel Fatah El Sisi and King Abdullah of Jordan have called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and unhindered immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.

During a meeting with the Jordanian monarch in Cairo, the two leaders stressed the importance of building on the outcome of the Arab-Islamic summit held recently in the Saudi Capita Riyadh.

They expressed keenness on the success of the Gaza response summit due to be held on December 2 in Cairo.

The two leaders held a session of talks in the presence of the delegations of the two countries, said presidential spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy

Both leaders tackled regional developments topped by the conditions in the Palestinian territories as they stressed the importance of delivering aid to the Palestinian enclave and the role of UNRWA in that domain.

They reiterated rejection of attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause and the forced displacement of Palestinians from their Homeland.

They underlined the importance of establishing a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital as part of the two-state solution to maintain stability in the region.

They welcomed the ceasefire in Lebanon and expressed keenness on security and sovereignty of Lebanon calling on all parties to avoid escalation.

According to the spokesman, the two leaders hailed the depth of relations binding the two countries. (MENA)
