CAIRO, Nov 27 (MENA) - President Abdel Fatah El Sisi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani have underlined the importance of the role of the international community in ending the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and mitigating the suffering of the Palestinians in the enclave.
This came during a meeting on Wednesday between the president and the Qatari official and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El Wazir.
Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy said the Qatari Prime Minister conveyed to the president the greetings of the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani, pointing out that the Qatari official expressed his country's keenness on promoting relations at all levels especially in the economic and investment domains.
The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister hailed Egypt's efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, expressing hope for the success of the Gaza conference Egypt will host on December 2 to support the Palestinian people and maintain their rights.
The meeting tackled efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, release all detainees and deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.
They underlined the importance of supporting the Palestinian rights including the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state in line with the international legitimacy resolutions.
They called for enabling all Lebanese institutions including the army to protect the sovereignty of Lebanon and the integrity of it territories, hailing the ceasefire deal reached to end the fighting in South Lebanon. ((MENA)
