CAIRO, Nov 24 (MENA) – Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Sunday that Egypt is keen on continued coordination with Kuwait to promote inter-trade and investments.
In a meeting with Kuwaiti Finance Minister Noura Sulaiman al-Fassam earlier today, visiting Abdelatty talked about economic and trade cooperation between the two Arab countries, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khallaf.
The top diplomat said he is looking forward to enhancing cooperation with Kuwait in a way that would help achieve interests of both peoples and the development goals of both countries, Khallaf added.
Abdelatty touched upon steps taken by Egypt to achieve comprehensive economic reform and outline ambitious plans to attract direct investments, the spokesman said.
He also posted Fassam on Egyptian measures to ease obstacles facing investors, and upgrade the business climate, Khallaf said.
The spokesman added that the meeting took up investment opportunities in Egypt – especially in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals – that are up for grabs by Kuwaiti companies.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of invigorating the joint business council and exploring trilateral cooperation opportunities in Africa, Khallaf said. (MENA)
